Summer Closure - Safeguarding Message
Our Provision is closed for the summer holiday from Friday 17th July. All staff will return on Tuesday 1 September for our INSET day. Students will return from Wednesday 2 September, in line with their individual timetables.
If your enquiry relates to a safeguarding concern about a child or young person, please do not wait for our return.

If a child or young person is in immediate danger or a crime is being committed, please contact the Police on 999.

If you have concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or young person, please contact Wakefield Social Care Direct on 0345 850 3503. This service also provides an emergency out-of-hours response for urgent safeguarding concerns. Information about reporting concerns and accessing Early Help support is available via the Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership.
If your enquiry relates to an urgent safeguarding matter concerning the college (for example, notifications of Strategy Meetings, Initial Child Protection Conferences or other statutory safeguarding matters), please contact a member of the safeguarding team using the details below:

I started at the Alternative Provision in Year 11. I am now in Year 13 and completing a Level 2 Certificate in Computer Aided Design and being supported with Maths and English Functional Skills. I hope to use my time at Keats Engineering & Education to progress through Engineering qualifications and to become employed at Keats Site Services Limited. Everyone is really supportive and goes the extra mile to understand you as an individual.
Attending Keats in Year 11 helped me to prepare and know what to expect for when I joined the Scholarship programme full time. It helped me to understand how to behave in education which is important and being in and around the lads was great as it was a really mature environment and it helped me relax this year when I joined as I already had friends I knew. I really liked the teachers and they helped by explaining the work in a way I understood. I really enjoyed being part of Keats.
